St Johnstone are through to the Scottish League Cup final for the first ever time thanks to a 3-0 win over Hibernian.

St Johnstone will play the winners of the other semi-final between St Mirren and Livingston which takes place on Sunday.

The Saints were victorious at an empty Hampden on Saturday with Hibs slightly the favourites and St Johnstone the underdogs.

The Perthshire side quickly put that tag behind them when Jason Kerr opened the scoring in the 35th minute.

Shaun Rooney doubled their lead just after half-time while ex-Blackburn player Craig Conway sealed the win in the 63rd minute.

Jack Ross' men will be disappointed but will look to fight with Aberdeen for 3rd spot in the Scottish Premiership. St Johnstone have a cup final to look forward to and will fancy themselves against St Mirren or Livingston.
