Tottenham Hotspur have joined Manchester City in distancing themselves from Bruno Fernandes this summer, allowing Manchester United to sign the Sporting Lisbon star with little to no competition.
Sporting are rumoured to want £50million for Fernandes, who had an astonishing season in Lisbon, scoring 32 goals and assisting a further 18 times in 53 appearances.
United are looking to sign two midfielders this season, with one of them being an attacking midfielder, and Bruno Fernandes is on their list of candidates.
United are rumoured to be more interested in British talent and would prefer to sign Sean Longstaff of Newcastle United, but Fernandes remains an option.
Ole Gunnar Solsjkaer has already sealed his first major signing of the summer with the arrival of young Welsh winger, Daniel James.
It is expected that Aaron Wan-Bissaka will end up at Old Trafford next season, although United have had a £40m bid for the defender rejected. Harry Maguire is also high up on the list of United targets.
