Harry Redknapp has backed Tottenham for the Premier League trophy, claiming that his former club can come out on top in a 'wide open' title race.
The 69-year-old was in charge of Spurs for four years, and thinks that Mauricio Pochettino's squad can emerge victorious this season.
After losing 1-0 to Manchester United on Sunday, Tottenham are currently 10 points adrift of leaders Chelsea, but Redknapp has tipped them to turn things around.
“I love Pochettino, he’s a very clever guy," Redknapp told talkSPORT.
“I wouldn’t swap that group for any other group. I think they’ll make the [top] four.
“I still think they can win it! I think it’s still wide open."
Redknapp believes that Tottenham's chances are greatly helped by the fact that there are no real standout teams in this year's title race, finding flaws with each of the other contenders.
“Chelsea are going great, they’ve been fantastic," the former West Ham midfielder continued.
"But they’re not a certainty to win it. I couldn’t sit here and say there’s one team who’s on a completely different level to the rest.
“Man City, we felt at the start of the year, would be that team maybe, but they’re certainly not looking like it at the moment.
“Arsenal are playing very well, they look excellent at the moment, but I still think Tottenham will be close.”
