Arsenal are going to have to splash a bit more cash to secure the services of the Portuguese international, given his high demand across Europe. Sporting are aware of this, and are apparently after a fee of at least €60m.
At the moment, Arsenal's offer hasn't exceeded €30m, to which the Portuguese side have replied with a firm 'no'. That's according to reports from 'A Bola' on Thursday.
This seems to be a first tentative approach from the 'Gunners'. Emery, having only just arrived, has reportedly made it clear to the club that Martins is a player he is keen on signing, having admired the young winger for a while.
Martins is just 23 years old, and has had a great season, scoring thirteen times and providing ten assists. Tottenham and Manchester United are both also apparently interested in the starlet, and are aware of his potential. If Arsenal want him, they're going to have to increase their offer significantly.
