Spanish Supercup to be played in Saudi Arabia and women will be able to attend

Women will be able to freely attend the event, be able to dress as they wish and also be able to sit wherever they want in the stadium. The Supercup will be held in Saudi Arabia for the next three seasons.

The RFEF's contractual requirement makes it easier for women to attend the Spanish Super Cup without being subject to Saudi Arabia's dress code. The tournament will be played by Barcelona, Real Madrid, Valencia, and Atlético Madrid.

The Spanish Super Cup, whose last edition took place in Morocco, will be held in the city of Jeddah, 90 kilometers from Mecca. It will be held from 8 to 12 January.

A 3-year agreement has been signed and for every one of them, the Federation will earn 40 million euros, according to 'El Mundo' and 'COPE', as well as other sources. A millionaire business for the RFEF who will use that amount for the promotion of grassroots football.

The restrictions suffered by Arab women would not take place in this event that takes on an international character. The Italian Super Cup, also in Saudi Arabia, was not free for women. The agreement between RFEF-Saudi Arabia means that in the future Spanish women's teams will be able to play against Saudi Arabia.

The Federation had offers to take the Super Cup to other countries. Despite the time difference (two hours), the Arabic option has been chosen. The clubs will make it easy for their fans to travel.
