Real Madrid got back to winning ways with a 2-0 win in Zinedine Zidane's first match back in charge as manager, with Isco and Gareth Bale back in the line-up and back on the scoresheet. They move closer to city rivals Atletico Madrid, who fell to a disappointing defeat to Athletic Bilbao.

 Barcelona, on the other hand, enjoyed a very positive week, with a Lionel Messi hat-trick inspiring them to a 4-1 away win over Real Betis. They are now 10 points clear at the top, and look set to win the league at a canter.
