Atletico Madrid formally complained against Antoine Griezmann's signing for Barcelona, arguing that the Frenchman negotiated his departure last season and behind Atletico's backs. Barca have therefore been fined 300 euros.
As had been announced weeks back, the RFEF hinted that the Camp Nou would not be closed, despite the fact that the judge working on behalf of the Spanish Federation, Juantzo Landaberea, also proposed tis option.
According to 'Marca', Landaberea said a 300 euro fine was "insufficient" given Barcelona's financial power. However, sources said that that measure was "highly improbable" as it was not serious enough to make such a big decision like closing a stadium.
After publicly rejectin them prior to the World Cup, Antoine Griezmann decided to head to the Camp Nou. A purchase which Barca made last July once the Frenchman's buyout clause had gone from 200 to 120 million euros.
However, Atletico Madrid complained that Barca started to negotiate with the footballer throughout last season when his buyout clause was 200 million euros. As a result, Atletico claim they should be paid another 80 million.
