Pending an ultrasound scan and an official medical report, De Gea will not be able to play in the Euro 2020 last 16 game. He went off the field of play together with Doctor Juan Cota to have a check up after the injury prevented him from going on.
The session began with light training and the traditional passing the ball around. De Gea felt pain during training and he went to the dressing rooms after being checked up on by doctors on the pitch.
According to the Spanish FA, he has an injury near his left gluteus muscle, but he has not pulled it. It looks to be a minor injury.
