"Spain is not a racist country, but there are idiots, like in Brazil"

Racism is widespread on the football pitch, but not only in Spain. The fact that the loudspeaker was Vinicius at Mestalla has put La Liga in the spotlight.

Spanish-Brazilian player Marcos Senna, international with 'La Roja', spoke about the 'Vinicius case' and some unpleasant experiences he has had, as well as dotting the i's and crosses the t's.

"I live in Valencia, 500 metres from Mestalla. It caught my attention because I had never seen it before. It hurt me a lot, and I even thought that the fine they imposed on him was too little," he said on 'Esporte Espectacular', on 'O Globo'.

The former Villarreal player wanted to stress that "Spain is not a racist country", as has been said in other forums. "What exists is a number of idiots who hide and at such moments appear. These people are very brave in groups. Then, when they are alone, they manage to find Vinicius and ask him for a photo", he added.

"In Brazil there are also idiots. For me, these people are idiots. There are many here too, I can't say if there are more or less," he said of the 'Vinicius case'.
