Video games are becoming more and more popular amongst both youngsters and now adults. Games like FIFA and Fortnite have swept the gaming world and have made there way into footballers' routines as well.
For Ralph Hasenhuttl, Southampton's manager, the excessive use of video games is not acceptable in his squad and for that reason has decided to cut off the WiFi in team hotels to ensure his players are not up until the early hours playing video games the night before a match.
"It's something you have to force actively against and I will do this. I did it in my last club. We had also problems with players - they were playing until three o'clock in the morning before a game.
"You have to help protect them because it's not a small problem. If you are honest it's the same as alcoholism or getting addicted to drugs.
"To protect them means helping them not to spend so much time there".
The Southampton manager spoke about the problem before his side make the short journey to Brighton for the Premier League clash on Saturday.
