Soto Grado will be in charge of the Alaves-Real Madrid match

Cesar Soto Grado will replace "for personal reasons" Jose Martinez Munuera, from Valencia, as referee of the matchday 31 of La Liga EA Sports that will face Alaves against Real Madrid this Sunday at the Mendizorroza stadium, according to the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF).

Soto Grado will be assisted on the sidelines by Diego Barbero Sevilla and Miguel Martínez Munuera. Pablo Monterrubio Torres will act as fourth official and Jesus Gil Manzano will be in the VAR room, with Javier Iglesias Villanueva as his partner.

The last time Soto Grado was involved with Alaves was in the 26th matchday, in which they drew 1-1 away to Mallorca.

As for Real Madrid, their most recent meeting was the derby against Atletico Madrid on matchday 23, which also ended in a 1-1 draw at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium.
