Raphaël Varane swapped the white of Real Madrid for the red of Manchester United a few weeks ago. However, for formal purposes, it seems that his arrival has not yet been fully confirmed.
Solskjaer, manager of the Red Devils, admitted that there have been a number of issues with his registration and being able to count on him for the opening day of the Premier League against Leeds, something that will not be possible due to a contract issue.
"Varane has not trained with us. All the dots are over the i's, but things take time and unfortunately with the isolation and the delay, it's not 100 per cent done yet, but it will be completed soon," the manager acknowledged of the contract ahead of the opener.
Solskjaer insisted on his absence on matchday one and also pointed to the problems related to COVID-19: "There are little things that delay. The big obstacles were the isolation and the quarantine. He has already been in Manchester, but I can't say he will be with us against Leeds, I can probably say no because he hasn't trained with us.
