Athletic Bilbao began pre-season on Tuesday, but 24 hours later, cases of coronavirus have been detected.
The club announced that players and coaching staff were tested for coronavirus before starting pre-season training as LaLiga protocol states.
There are six positive cases. The club has not revealed if or how many are players and says that "they are now self-isolating in their respective homes and that they will be subjected to another PCR test next week.

In addition, the relevant health authorities have been informed. These positive results will alter coach Gaizka Garitano's plans.
"Following LaLiga guidelines, group training which was due to start on Thursday afternoon will now be individual training at first. As the protocol states, all those who have tested negative will have another PCR test done this Friday," the statement reads.
These positive results come on the back of more positive tests which Barcelona confirmed amog the players who began pre-season at Barcelona.
No names have been revealed except that of Inaki Williams. That was becuse he announced the news on social media. The striker announced that he is well and that he is asymptomatic.
