Atletico Madrid are reportedly set to offer manager Diego Simeone a new two-year contract, keeping him at the club until 2020.
The Argentine has proved hugely successful in the Spanish capital after arriving in December 2011.
'Radio Marca' understand that Simeone is close to agreeing terms which would make him the highest-paid person at the club, ahead of Antoine Grizemann.
Griezmann is understood to earn around £342,307 per-week, which highlights how highly the club value Diego Simeone.
Since arriving in 2011 Simeone has enjoyed unprecedented success with the club that he played 164 times for.
The 48-year-old has won seven major honours in seven years, including two Europa League titles and La Liga in 2014.
He has also guided Atletico to the Champions League final twice, losing to Real Madrid on both occasions.
Atletico Madrid have 23 points from their opening 12 games and sit third, a point behind leaders Barcelona.
