Simeone calls on Hector Herrera for Villarreal game

Diego Simeone has got back Mexican player Hector Herrera for the clash with Villarreal. He has finally got over COVID-19 and LaLiga have given him the OK to play. Sime Vrsaljko is also back in the list.

Atletico Madrid travel to the La Ceramica stadium this Sunday. They will face Unai Emery's Villarreal at 21:00 CET.

Simeone has released his squad list for the match and the main news is the inclusion of Hector Herrera. Vrsaljko is also back from injury.

Herrera has got the amount of antibodies La Liga require for you to be able to return to group training after getting coronavirus. Simeone has finally decided to pick him.

Kieran Trippier remains out of the squad although this will be the final game of his FA ban because that expires on 28th February. That means he will be available for the next game.

Gimenez and Carrasco both miss out as they are injured. They are the only players missing for 'Los Colchoneros'.
