"We know we have to have zero relaxation in every game. What we want is to play a great match to have the best version of our team. We have the opportunity to give it our all," said Zidane in the press conference prior to the duel with Espanyol on Saturday.
Zidane was questioned about Hazard's injury: "A player's injury is always difficult to deal with, in this case, Hazard. That's all there is to it. It's more serious than expected, but I hope he'll be back with us soon. The same for Marcelo and Bale. I don't want anyone outside the team because of injury."
"There are other players and we have to think that we are doing quite well. Bale resented his discomfort after the match with Alaves and that's why he has not trained. This Friday he didn't do it normally", he continued.
Zinedine Zidane praised the work of the players and the medical services: "Not only is it important to train, but also to eat well and recover. Here we have one of the best medical services. The players know that they are surrounded by the best."
The Real Madrid coach did not want to put a score on the beginning of the season: "I am happy to be in the best club in the world and I am fortunate to be able to live this moment in my life, as a person, as a former player and now as a coach. This happiness will never change."
As for Wales' decision to not let their players take part in other activities - including golf, which is an infamous hobby of Bale's - Zidane tried to steer away from commenting but did say that he will not do the same as his country: "I will not prevent anything to Bale or any player. They know what they have to do and what each must do. I'm not going to say anything to any player."
Furthermore, Zidane did not dodge the transfer market: "Anything can happen. We'll see when it's time, but I'm happy with my players."
