Crowd violence is still a big problem in a football. The 'BBC' reported this case which, fortunately, did not claim any lives, despite the crowd's anger.
After the first leg in Liberia, which ended 3-1, Sierra Leone had to pull off a historic fightback to stay alive in 2022 World Cup qualification.
It ended up with an exciting finish. Sierra Leone were 1-0 up and they had the chance to make it 2-0 and progress to the next round. However, Umaru Bangura missed a spot kick which the young Liberian keeper, Ashley Williams, saved.

There was disappointment all around Sierra Leone, but the worst was still to come. After the match, stones and other objects were thrown towards the footballer's home. "It was one of the worst days of my life. I could not go out, I was not expecting this type of hostility towards me," Bangura explained.
In addition, the Sierra Leone player stressed that it was his job to take the penalty as he is the captain. "I am vert disappointed, I ask for forgiveness," Bangura concluded. He was the victim of another unsavoury incident in football.
