Sheffield United are looking to bring in Franck Ribery in a shock transfer this summer after the 36 year old has finally called time on his Bayern career.
Ribery spent 12 seasons in Munich, and lifted the Champions League in 2013, but could find himself playing his football at Brammall Lane next season.
Chris Wilder's side are looking for goals, with the everpresent issue for newly promoted sides being to find a consistent goalscorer, and Ribery could be just that after scoring 124 goals in his 425 Bayern appearances, and assisting a further 182 times.
Should United be able to persuade Ribery to join the club it would be a major statement to their biggest rivals to remain in the Premier League, as well as possibly provide the all needed star quality.
