There are two criteria that LaLiga establishes in order to be able to distribute all these revenues for television rights and which are governed by Articles 5 and 8. In particular, the first of them has to do with the sports results obtained and the progression of the same, while the second paragraph has several parts.
"A third for the money made from season tickets and average gate money of the last five seasons, and the other two thirds for their participation in the generation of resources for the marketing of television broadcasts, by comparing the average audiences obtained by each of them in each season," the league explains.
As such, Barcelona earned the most money with 166 million euros, while Real Madrid earned 11 million less i.e 155 million euros.
Third on the list is Atlético Madrid with 119- the only other team to earn more than 100 million. Then it is Sevilla, Valencia, Athletic and Villarreal.
