Seville derby to clash with general election

The lack of agreement in forming a Spanish government has meant King Felipe has had to call elections for the 10th November, the day which Sevilla face Betis at the Benito Villamarin.

Fate has it that the general election on 10th November will clash with the Betis-Sevilla game at the Benito Villamarin. The fans will have to cast their vote at the ballot box before going to the ground.

King Felipe was forced to call the Spanish citizens to vote again after the Socialist leader Pedro Sanchez was unable to form a government.

According to 'Mundo Deportivo', although matchday 13 kick off times have not yet been decided, Sevilla's Europa League game the previous Thursday means the derby has to be played on Sunday.
