Sevilla looking ahead to Roma game

The Sevilla squad have resumed training this Sunday after six days rest to prepare for the final stages of the Europa League. They begin with a one off last 16 tie against Roma on 6th August in Duisburg, Germany.

La Liga is over, but the season continues for those who are still in European competition. Sevilla, for example, have still got the match against Roma in the Europa League to come.

The footballers coached by Julen Lopetegui have carried out individual training divided into two phases, in the gym and on the field of play. They trained with the official Europa League ball rather than the La Liga one.

Sevilla's vice-president, Jose Maria del Nido Carrasco, and the sporting director, Ramon Rodriguez 'Monchi', watched the training session which Czech keeper Tomas Vaclik couldn't complete. He is still recovering after getting a knee injury in the game against Eibar on 26th June.

The Andalusian outfit have got more Europa Leagues/UEFA Cups than anyone else thanks to the five trophies they won between 2006 and 2016. They want to keep on being the kings of the Europa League
