Seven GOATs guarded the Eiffel Tower for Messi's Ballon d'Or win

It is not difficult to find cascades of edited images on social networks in which Leo Messi and goats are being played with. The reason is simple. 'GOAT' is a term that is used in English as an acronym for 'Greatest Of All Time'.
The Adidas brand, which sponsors the Argentinian, took advantage of this trend to use the name to create a very loud advertising campaign. It placed seven statues of golden goats on the side of the Eiffel Tower to commemorate the PSG striker's seven Ballon d'Or awards. The last one was won this week.
The sculptures are perfectly positioned to allow for a photograph to be taken with the historic Parisian building in the background. One of the goats is facing the front. Three of them, so that none of them covers the other, guard it on either side of the one looking at the camera. This did not take long to go viral on social media.
The brand took the opportunity to play on its slogan "impossible is nothing" to emphasise that, until now, no one had ever won seven trophies in this category. Leo Messi, amidst some grumbling that Robert Lewandowski also deserved the award, won it.
