The most recent PCR tests have revealed that Sergi Roberto has coronavirus. He was already out with a muscle injury that he suffered on the 21st November.
Barcelona explained that the player is doing well and isolating at home whilst he continues his recovery from injury.
The club will now have to retest all players and staff to ensure that there is no danger of an outbreak.
Samuel Umtiti and Jean-Clair Tobido both also tested positive earlier in the season and have since fully recovered.
Roberto was already facing two months out so at least COVID-19 won't rule him out for any additional time.
