Los Angeles Galaxy could become the club to sign FC Barcelona's discarded players. After signing Riqui Puig, the Californian side are reportedly after Sergi Roberto, another Barça academy player, according to 'Sport'.
After renewing his contract with the club for another year, Xavi would not count on Sergi for the following season. The Terrassa coach believed that this season he could be important for the squad and that is why he insisted so much on renewing the midfielder, who has been converted into a full-back.
His signing could not happen this season because the MLS transfer window has closed. So if a deal is agreed, the Galaxy could sign him in the winter transfer window when it reopens.
Last season, Sergi Roberto made very few appearances due to an injury to his right femoral biceps. He played a total of 19 games, scoring two goals and providing one assist. In pre-season he was physically fit and was involved in four friendlies.
