Serbia outraged by another Xhaka provocation

Serbia-Switzerland was one of the most tense matches of this World Cup because some of the Swiss players have supported the independence of Kosovo (2008), a movement that the Serbs have never been able to recognise.

The conflict in the Balkans is still raging and that was reflected in the match between the two sides. In fact, Xhaka provoked Rajkovic and left another controversy.

According to 'Marca', the midfielder wore a shirt of his compatriot Hashari, who shares the name of the Kosovo Liberation Army leader who was executed in Serbia along with 60 people in 1998.

The Serbs did not take kindly to Xhaka's gesture and considered it a provocation. The national team had already posted a banner on their social media profiles claiming the nation's sovereignty over Kosovo.
