Barcelona fans are waiting for Pique's decision. His absence is significant and everyone wants to know what decision the central defender will make with regards to his recovery: whether to operate on his knee or not. 

We now have an answer to that question. 'SER Catalunya' have said on their programme 'Que T'hi Jugues', the defender will, as expected, not have an operation. 

The cited source says that many experts believe this decision could be bad for Pique. Apparently, he will be unable to play normally if he does not have an operation. 

But the central defender's aim is to return as soon as possible. An operation would delay his return. The experienced Dr Cugat recommended he had an operation so that his knee is better in the long term. 

Pique ended up getting injured on 22nd November in the match against Atletico Madrid. He suffered a sprain to his MCL and partially injured his ACL in his right knee.
