One of that strangest passages of play in the Premier League this season was in the Bournemouth v Norwich match. Bournemouth defender, Steve Cook, was sent off for a spectacular hand ball.
With 30 minutes on the clock, Ramsdale saved a one on one with Teemu Pukki. However, the keeper's save left the ball free for Ondrej Duda to try and score from the dee. That he did, but then Cook appeared.
The English CB, who was on the floor, flew with his hand in the air to stop it. An unusual passage of play which referee Paul Tierney showed him a red card for, although there was an even more strange thing.
VAR intervened to review a piece of play that didn't raise too many doubts. It inspected the tremendous handball from Cook and also paused it to check Pukki's position at the start of the passage of play.
Pukki scored the penalty and the goal was enough to give them the win. Norwich are bottom and Bournemouth are 2nd bottom.
