After leaving Atletico Madrid this past summer on a temporary basis, Saul Ñiguez is living a real ordeal at Chelsea. The Spaniard cannot find his place at the current European champions and seems condemned to ostracism between now and the end of the season.
For this reason, in recent days, there has been speculation about a possible exit in the winter transfer window, but this option, according to reports in the English press on Monday 15th November, is almost impossible.
As 'The Sun' points out, Saul Ñiguez aims to finish the campaign at Stamford Bridge, as the alternatives are practically non-existent, including a possible return to Atletico Madrid.
The Spanish giants do not have the salary margin to fit Saul back into their squad unless there are several departures from the Wanda Metropolitano during the winter transfer window.
On the other hand, the option of a new loan to a European club is ruled out, as FIFA does not allow a player to play for three different teams during the same season. The only option would be for Saul to go to competitions such as the MLS or the Brasileirao, which start their course with the calendar year.
In this way, everything seems to indicate that Saul will remain in the London club until the end of the current season. So far, the Spaniard has only played 239 minutes. A very low figure considering that there were seasons at Atletico in which he was close to 5,000 minutes.
