Italian newspaper 'Corriere dello Sport' are suggesting that the Argentinian striker is Sarri's biggest wish this summer, although he is still under contract at Chelsea. In Italy, they are already assuming that it will be just a matter of time until he arrives and are starting to reveal his transfer plans.
Sarri's big idea at Juventus is to bring in Mauro Icardi, whose future at Inter looks in serious doubt, to partner Cristiano Ronaldo in the Italian champions' attack.
After a year riddled with controversy, the Argentinian looks more likely to leave Inter than to stay. Furthermore, new coach Antonio Conte, for the good of the dressing room and the stability of the club, has made it clear to the board that he will not be counting on Icardi.
However, the situation regarding his future may not be resolved so quickly, as Icardi reportedly has no intention of leaving Inter and will put his foot down in an attempt to stay at the club. Recently, the 26 year-old met with club president Steven Zhang to discuss his future.
Although the forward wants to stay, some in Italy are suggesting that it may not be so difficult to get rid of him due to Conte's stance on the matter. Juventus, therefore, will just need to put in a generous offer and hope they can convince the Argentine to join Cristiano Ronaldo to form what would surely be a lethal attack.
