Juventus' victory over Atletico Madrid, largely thanks to an imperious Cristiano Ronaldo, continues to be big news in Italy. In the pre-match press conference for Juventus' clash with Genoa, manager Massimilano Allegri spoke about the immediate future of his team, and his star man.
"The whole world celebrates differently, with euphoria and gestures. But I don't think I have to sanction Cristiano Ronaldo. If I did, I'd have to sanction everyone," he said of the forward's celebration against Atletico, in which he appeared to mimick Diego Simeone's 'cojones' celebration.
"He [Ronaldo] needs to rest, he's played a lot an he's returning to the national team. I spoke with him and we decided which matches he would take part in", Allegri added. But he would not reveal which other future matches Ronaldo will not play in, saying "Obviously, I'm not going to say".
