Tottenham lead the race to sign goalkeeper Sam Johnstone. The West Brom shot stopper is due to end his contract at the club in June, after which he will become a free agent.
According to 'The Mirror', the keeper has chosen Spurs as his next destination after Daniel Levy's team expressed their interest in him weeks ago, and have been following the player's situation closely.
The aforementioned source has indicated that no other club are in such an advanced stage of the negotiations compared to Spurs. Therefore it is only a matter of time until Sam Johnstone is a Tottenham player.
So far this season, the West Bromwich Albion goalkeeper has appeared in 36 matches. Across these appearances, he has conceded 33 goals.
