The semi-finals were a fairly high-scoring round of games, especially in the case of the tie between Liverpool and Roma. The 13 goal affair over two legs broke the record for a semi-final in the UCL, and it saw Liverpool's front three all add to their tallies.
Sadio Mane scored in both legs to draw level with teammate Roberto Firmino, who bagged one in the first leg, on 9 goals. Sadio Mane scored a brace in the first leg to maintain his position as the second highest goalscorer in the tournament, on 11. Edin Dzeko also scored one in each leg, and ends his UCL campain on 8 goals.
The other tie, between Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, produced seven goals, with Karim Benzema scored twice in the second leg of the tie to bring his tally up to four, while Joshua Kimmich scored both home and away.
Cristiano Ronaldo failed to score in the semis. but his prolific form earlier in the tournament means that he remains first in the goal rankings on 15, followed by fellow finalist Salah, then Firmino and Mane. Ronaldo looks almost guaranteed to walk away with the Golden Boot in the competition, and it would take five goals in the final from Salah to beat him. Oh, and for the Madrid forward not to score, so it's not looking too likely...
