Salah sets new record for most G/A in 38-game Premier League season

Mohamed Salah nicely spun away from Oliver Scarles to storm down the right flank before slipping the ball on the other end for Diaz, who made no mistake from eight yards. His assist served to fire Liverpool ahead on Sunday afternoon against West Ham United.
As well as edging the Merseyside club closer to a record-equalling 20th Premier League title, the Egyptian forward's assist also took him to 45 goal contributions this term, making him the player with the most goals and assists in a 38-game Premier League season.
Having registered 27 goals and 18 assists, the 32-year-old breaks Thierry Henry's record of 44 goal contributions set in the 2002-03 campaign with Arsenal. Salah had already equalled the tally after bagging a brace in the Reds' 3-1 win over Southampton on March 8.
However, he is now solitary at the top just days after he signed a two-year deal with Liverpool, extending his stay until 2027. And with six games remaining until the end of the English top-flight campaign, Salah still has a margin to increase his tally and perhaps break other records in the league.
