Salah generously 'donates £500,000 to Egyptian hospital'

According to Egyptian website 'King Fut', the forward made the donation to 57357 Children's Cancer Hospital in Cairo to give back to his home country after making it on football's biggest stage.

The news has since been confirmed through the personal Facebook account of Mostafa Zamzam, chairman of the Board of Trustees of Sona's El Khair Charity.

It's an incredible gesture by the Liverpool player, who seems to be enjoying success both on and off the pitch.

The 'Reds' secured progression to the Champions League quarter-finals on Wednesday, drawing 0-0 with Porto to win 5-0 on aggregate and although he did not score on the night, Salah has been a big hit since arriving in Merseyside.

Following his move from Roma in the summer, the Egypt international has scored 32 goals in 38 appearances and is a leading contender to claim the PFA Player of the Year award this season - something he will be hoping to further cement when Liverpool face rivals Manchester United on Saturday.
