Rubin Kazan have announced that their players' salaries will be cut by half during the coronavirus break.
Oleg Yarovinsky, the Russian club's sporting director, confirmed that the measure had been agreed both by the club's leaders and the players themselves.
The Russian league was one of the last to be suspended and they are now expecting there not to be any matches for a few months despite some youth friendlies continue to be played.
When the league was suspended, Rubin Kazan, who were in the Champions League not long ago, were just one point above the relegation spots and in a relegation play-off place.
