Varane left Real Madrid to join the Man United ranks, a club who were finally able to make the deal official after the player passed his medical and had completed the necessary quarantine measures.
The Frenchman was presented before more than 70,000 fans in Old Trafford who gave him a standing ovation, as he walked around the pitch carrying his new shirt with the number 19 on the back. United legend Rio Ferdinand, now a pundit, didn't take long to welcome the new recruit.
He did so through his Instagram account with a video to which, interestingly enough, Cristiano Ronaldo reacted. The Portuguese didn't hesitate to comment on the new deal for his former club involving his former teammate.
The forward wrote a simple message of "Grande" on Ferdinand's post to celebrate Varane's move to the Premier League for the Red Devils, where he will undoubtedly be one of Solskjaer's most crucial players in the coming season.
