Ronaldo reveals why he left Barça in 97: "Their negotiation was somewhat obscure"

"The experience was great. Nevertheless it was impossile and it was not my fault. Just one month before the season was ending we had come to an agreement to renew my contract. But one week later, Barcelona's president and lawyer agreed that this contract was not feasable" ,
explained Ronaldo in an interview with former player Djalminha on 'ESPN'.
"They would accept the money of any club willing to pay the clause of 29 million dollars", underlined the Brazilian world-champion. With almost 21 years he left the Barca after an unforgettable season.
Ronaldo is convinced that still today Barcelona's direction is not negotiating in a comprehensible way. "Even today, they are still showing these abilities of negotiating in a way that is half obscure. They are doing it differently", he pointed out.
As example he names his countryman Neymar: "For example in the 'Case Neymar' is still unclear what happened. There are various serious issues going on and someone had to pay for them."
Casually, Ronaldo joked about his famous fringe of the 2002 World Championship: "During this World Cup I suffered from pain in my groin and I was affraid to play only 60% of what I was capable of.
People were only talking about my injury, but from the moment I arrived with that thing on my head, nobody spoke about my injury anymore." Genius Ronaldo.
