Cristiano Ronaldo is not having his best days at Manchester United. With only one goal scored, and from a penalty, so far this season, the Portuguese is trying to prepare himself as well as possible for these two matches with the Portugal national team ahead of the World Cup in Qatar.
The Portuguese player, who collected the 'Quinas de Ouro' award for being the top scorer of the national teams, said about his future with Portugal. "I hope to continue being part of the Portuguese Federation for a few more years. I'm in a team with young people and I feel motivated, my ambition is high," said the United player.
He also made clear his intentions for the future: "I want to be at the World Cup, but also at the next European Championship". It seems that Cristiano has no intention of retiring in the short term, despite the fact that he is going through one of his worst moments as a professional footballer.
The Portugal national team dedicated a message to him on their social media: "A legacy that says: I am here", next to the icon of the goat, alluding to the greatest of all time, -GOAT-.
"Thanks again to all my teammates, coaches, my family, friends and all my fans who helped me achieve this great accomplishment. Together we will continue to break as many records as possible! Thank you," he concluded in an official statement.
