Cristiano Ronaldo has kicked off his Euro 2020 campaign in fine fashion. He scored a brace in Portugal's opener against Hungary, being awarded man of the match for his performance.
But the first match turned out to be a lot more important for his personal honours, as against Hungary he became the first player to play in five European Championships, before he later surpassed Michel Platini to become the top goalscorer in the competition's history.
Ronaldo will face up against Germany this Saturday, where there will be yet another challenge awaiting him. As BeSoccer Pro indicates, he has never scored against 'Die Mannschaft'.
He has faced the Germans on four occasions and has lost each time: in the 2006 World Cup, 3-1; in Euro 2008, 2-3; in Euro 2012, 1-0; and in the 2014 World Cup, 4-0.
Ronaldo will also be able to cross another country off his list when Portugal face France on Wednesday, a team against which he has failed to score on six occasions.
