It was alleged on Monday that Roma had been holding talks with Fabregas, but according to 'Sky Italy', this is not the case and the Serie A side are not interested in the Chelsea midfielder.

Fabregas has been a peripheral figure of the Chelsea team this season, making just two starts in the Premier League and the Spain international has been linked with a move away from the west London club.

The 29-year-old was linked with a whole host of Italian clubs in the last transfer window, including both Milan clubs and Juventus, but it is thought that Roma will not be Fabregas' next destination.

Antonio Conte has insisted that Fabregas remains an important player at Chelsea and appears to have no intention of selling the midfielder, despite him not featuring regularly.
