Rodrigo is trying to get back to normal after a frantic week. Once more, the Valencia striker had his bags practically packed before his exit to another team was thwarted. It happened with Real Madrid, with Atlético Madrid, and this time with Barcelona.
Barca ruled out his signing on Tuesday night after a very hard negotiation with Valencia. Valencia wanted 60 million for him, demands that Barcelona weren't prepared to meet.
With the deal in full swing, Rodrigo was absent from training that day and was left out of the squad for the Copa del Rey last 16 match against Cultural Leonesa.
'AS' explains that the player was precisely in Barcelona to undergo a routine medical check-up at Dr. Cugat's practice alongside Cillessen, Manu Vallejo, Guedes and Piccini. This would have been the reason he missed training, although his absence further fuelled the rumours.
However, after the breakdown in negotiations, Rodrigo reappeared at training in Paterna on Wednesday. He did so alongside Daniel Wass and Ezequiel Garay, the other players not called up for the squad.
'Marca' indicates that Rodrigo was in Paterna for 3 hours, after they left training in a car at around 1pm. Amidst the questions of the media sources present, absolute silent.
