Rodrigo Hernandez has taken a huge step forward in his career this year. When Spain needed him, after losing Sergio Busquets, the Man City midfielder turned up in every sense.
The Madrid native has won four titles this season. He secured the treble of Premier League, FA Cup and UCL with English club Man City and now to add to that, he takes home the UEFA Nations League title with Spain.
On top of this, he has been a key figure in all these triumphs. As well as the team trophies, he leaves this season with personal accolades to match.

3 finals, 2 MVPs
In 2023, Rodri has been in 3 finals. In 2 of them, with the exception of the FA Cup against Manchester United, he has been named Man of the Match.
In Istanbul, to win Manchester City's first European crown, the Spanish midfielder scored the winning goal and was crowned not only the best in the final, but in the whole tournament.
Fresh from the treble party, Rodri put on his Spain jersey. He was two games away from winning his first title with 'la Roja' and he was not about to waste his great form.
In the semi-final against Italy, and despite Joselu's late goal, Rodri was voted player of the match, as he was in a final in which he had 2 chances to score and scored his penalty in the shootout.
Rodri has become, on his own merits, one of the best defensive midfielders in the world. And he has done it in a season adding 4 titles in his trophy cabinet.
