Andrew Robertson voiced his discontent after Liverpool's underwhelming draw with Manchester United on Sunday afternoon by saying that "we should have been at full throttle."
Despite the draw meaning that Liverpool reclaimed their position at the top of the Premier League table, Robertson was frustrated with his side's lack of pace through the match. Fans witnessed a tense but ultimately goalless encounter on Sunday afternoon, after a flurry of first-half injuries peppered the course of play.
Injuries to Ander Herrera, Juan Mata and Jesse Lingard meant that Ole Gunnar Solsjkaer had to make all three of his substitutions before half-time. Marcus Rashford also appeared to sustain a knock but soldiered through until the close of play.
Jurgen Klopp also had to take Roberto Firmino off after he rolled his ankle during a routine, unchallenged pass in midfield. The Reds would have wanted to claim maximum points from the clash against United in order to further put pressure on other rivals for the Premier League title.
The three that were injured for United all checked in for training on Monday morning after suffering from hamstring injuries during the match. Solskjaer will hope that none of them are serious injuries and he will march onto the rest of the season with a strong squad.
