Like so many Scottish youngsters, Robertson dreamed of making it big with Celtic. However, despite his obvious potential, he was let go as a youth player due to his small physique that the club didn't think would translate well to professional football.
This could have been the beginning of the end for the Scot, who then moved to Dundee United. Even so, as he reached 18 he didn't believe he would make it as a footballer.

Two years ago, he refound his love for the game at Hull City. although he ended up being relegated to the Championship. Jurgen Klopp, however, saw something in him and took a risk that ended up paying off big time, as Robertson is now a fan favourite at Anfield.
