Juan Roman Riquelme, current vice president of Boca Juniors, has revealed his plan for the current transfer window and he is excited by the possibility of signing Edinson Cavani (Manchester United) and Arturo Vidal (Inter) ahead of next season.
"Vidal and Cavani were born to play here. Affording to pay them is another thing. I listen to a lot of things and they even tell me... Here, we're happy with the players we have, but these two are stars", commented the ex footballer for 'ESPN'.
Additionally, he mentioned the difficulty he will have in securing their signatures: "One can always dream about having them. But we have to be realistic here, it's going to be difficult. We always try to work in the best way and care a lot about the club".
One certainty in the matter is that Cavani and Vidal are free agents this summer and they are both in search for a new club ahead of the 2022/23 season. Boca dream of signing them, but Argentina's current poor economic health could hault negotiations.
Moreover, the Uruguayan is wanting to play in Spain in order to stay up to speed ahead of the Qatar World Cup, while the Chilean could be moving to Flamengo, the club who he follows.
