Seeing Iker Casillas again at Real Madrid could be a reality. The keeper, retired since 2019 because of a heart problem, has opened the door again.
"Obviously it would be very good. I have a very long history with Real Madrid, about 25 years. So clearly I have great feelings for the club", the goalkeeper said in 'The National' collected by 'Europa Press'.
For that reason, Casillas still sees himself at Los Blancos. "Of course I would not rule out this possibility, especially being from Madrid and living here. That's something I would especially enjoy over time", he indicated.
Casillas, who ruled out running at the RFEF elections, didn't want to give clues about his future." I think that in the short term, sooner rather than later, I will return to work on something related to football. I'm still not sure exactly what or when, but that's what the future holds", he explained.
About Real Madrid's season, he highlighted "very positive results during the last weeks, both in the Champions League and in League. I think it gives good stability", he argued.
"Let's start with the fact that Real Madrid is always the target of criticism. This is a little out of place because it is not a catastrophe; it is not until May that the titles are decided. The criticism that Zidane has been receiving has also been unfair", Casillas ended.
