Luis Alberto will renew with Lazio. That's the end of the speculation about his departure from the Italian club. Liverpool, perhaps the most interested in the sale of the Spanish playmaker, will have to find another way to fill their coffers in the summer.
According to the 'Liverpool Echo', the Reds put a 30% sell-on fee for Luis Alberto's future transfer when they sold him to Lazio for 5 million in 2016. Klopp was counting on him being sold for a good amount, to get a good sum of money. It won't be like that.
Luis Alberto, whose transfer market is around 30 million, could have reached 80 if Lazio's claims were to be fulfilled, something Liverpool would have celebrated like no other.
The Reds will have to seek funding for their own signings elsewhere. They will have to sell in order to sign, as usual.
