Reinildo has already undergone surgery on his cruciate ligament rupture

Atletico Madrid turned the page after the Madrid derby. A match that, apart from the result, left one of the worst news for the Madrid side. Reinildo, one of their most in-form players, was unable to play the full match.
The Mozambican injured his right knee during the game. Later, the worst predictions were confirmed: he ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament and will miss the rest of the season.
With no time to lose, Reinildo underwent surgery on Saturday morning. The 'Colchoneros' issued an official statement in which it highlighted the success of the intervention:
"Reinildo Mandava underwent surgery on Sunday 26th February at the CEMTRO Clinic for a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee, which he ruptured in the Madrid derby at the Santiago Bernabeu against Real Madrid.
Dr Pedro Guillen, Dr Isabel Guillen, Dr Marta Guillen, Dr Fernando Sanz and the club's medical staff were present at the surgery.
The report issued by the club's medical services states that the surgery was carried out without incident and according to plan.
We wish you a speedy recovery Reinildo!".
