AC Milan's Spanish goalkeeper Pepe Reina has described José Antonio Reyes' death in a car accident this Saturday as a "tough blow", adding that at 35 years of age, the former Sevilla player had gone "too soon".

"The feeling is that it's a tough blow, a loss you don't expect. It's one of the blows life gives you, at 35 years of age he has gone too soon," answered the Spanish goalkeeper to a question from 'EFE' in Madrid, where he was participating in a campaign by Santander in the buildup to the Champions League final.

"All I can do is send a strong hug and a kiss to his family and to his friends", added Reina, who played alongside Reyes for Spain at the 2006 World Cup in Germany.
