Reece James leaves England squad due to injury

It was jubilation through the roof in England after their hard-fought win over Italy in the Euros 2024 qualifying campaign. However, on Saturday they got a bad bit of news in terms of injuries.

The British side published news about Reece James' injury: "The defender has withdrawn from the Three Lions squad and will not feature against Ukraine on Sunday". Therefore, Gareth Southgate will have 22 players at his disposal for their next game.

As for Chelsea, they've said they'll take care of James' recovery: "The full-back has returned to the club to be assessed for the injury". According to Fabrizio Romano, his injury is in his knee.

The Italian reporter claimed that it's a minor injury and that it's nothing serious. Therefore, Graham Potter is hoping to be able to use him on the wing in their next few games.
